In December 2020, the strain of COVID-19 had placed increased pressures on families with the number of people experiencing food insecurity 82% higher than it was in 2019 and millions relying on food banks. Many food programs around the world struggled to meet the rising demand during the pandemic, as more people than ever before needed to use food banks as a lifeline.

To help support communities during the holiday season, CBPartners donated $30,000 cumulatively to New York City’s Bowery Mission, San Francisco’s Marin Food Bank, and London’s Hackney Food Bank on behalf of everyone at the firm.

The three organizations were recognized by cbpGIVES for their ongoing efforts to help homeless and hungry individuals, provide immediate distribution of food, as well as working towards combating hunger and to eradicate the need for food banks.

While cbpGIVES hopes that the donations were impactful and provided meals for many, the food crisis in on the rise and requires more attention to resolve. We encourage individuals to consider donating or volunteering time to these organizations, or others who are pillars in the community during this tough economic time, as a way of giving back and helping those who are less fortunate.
